How we Support Students and Families
Heredia-Arriaga students are bilingual and biliterate, self-aware, reflective individuals who can draw on social-emotional competencies, cultural competency, and critical thinking to thrive personally, socially, and academically. Students understand their role and impact on their diverse communities and global society.
In order to fulfill our mission, we:
- Establish a culture that puts relationships and social-emotional support first so that every student is known by name and gets the support they need to thrive socially and academically
- Prioritize the development of and hold students to high levels of cultural competence
- Support our students' learning and hold them to rigorous academic outcomes
- Develop and maintain family partnerships in the education of students to ensure equity and inclusion
- Ensure every student makes a difference in their diverse community and global society by making positive changes for the benefit of all
- Strive to view every student’s talent as an asset and help them to view those assets as strengths.
